Production Team Leader
For our client in Sibiu, a company specialized in leather goods, we are looking for a Production Team Leader.
In a context of business growth, agility development and new product acceleration, the team leader is in charge of a versatile production team (25 to 35 people) working towards common shared objectives in the workshops: health and safety at work, quality, quantities and lead times.
1. Manage a production team
You will ensure the cohesion of your team in a collaborative state of mind with the aim of meeting common objectives.
- Independently manage a production team;
- Set the rules, framework and expected results for all his/her lines and teams, both collectively and individually, while ensuring they are understood;
- Provide all the company information needed for operational teams and workshops;
- Detect social issues on the lines and be proactive in resolving them;
- Provide administrative management in conjunction with the team (management of absences, overtime, etc.);
- Conduct individual interviews with teams, providing feedback, encouragement and coaching where necessary
- Provide help during change, especially during the development of new products.
2. Manage your sector's long-term improvement plan
- You have an SQDP improvement plan in your sector.
3. Contribute to the development of your teams
You contribute to the development of versatility within your team to acquire the flexibility needed to address the challenges of the company. You identify potential talents with the aim of helping them evolve towards other missions.
- Establish your team’s development plan by defining the training needed for better versatility;
- In conjunction with internal trainers, internal tutors and sponsors, support and monitor new starters through performance, non-quality, safety and other indicators;
- Team leaders must coach and support their flow leads in the treatment of minor/major nuisances on a daily basis and ensure the continuity of the sector during their periods of absence.
4. Ensure compliance with company HSE rules
You are responsible for your team’s compliance with health, safety and environmental rules. You understand the dangers and risks in your sector (machines, tools, etc.);
- Coordinate indicators related to health, safety, the environment and alert your teams in the event of bad practices;
- Assess, control and educate your teams through field audits;
- Carry out safety and environment audits on the lines and set up action plans by involving your collaborators;
- Provide feedback on potential issues to the workshop safety manager;
- Ensure compliance with 5S on the lines and compliance with waste sorting;
- Carry out health alerts, return-to-work interviews;
You also contribute to meeting the Maison and Site’s environmental targets through various missions such as monitoring the link between manufacturing performance indicators and environmental KPIs, or supporting and challenging the teams in reducing the environmental impacts of manufacturing.
5. Manage and coordinate performance
As part of the company's performance improvement strategy, the team leader implements and manages performance at his/her level.
- Take a daily walk around the workshop to organise and plan the day's production schedule, record the results from the previous day and WIP;
- Ensure daily production while complying with quality, quantity and lead times and implement, if needed, temporary adjustment solutions to ensure production continuity and safety;
- Define your daily load/capacity for W+1, estimate and allocate human resources with regard to priorities, constraints, short and medium term changes in workshop products;
- Research and identify continuous improvement actions in the processes, organisation or mode of operation of the lines. Implement and monitor action plans.
6. Ensure quality and customer satisfaction
You are in charge of the quality of the products from your lines, of the compliance with costs and lead times to supply the customer.
- Ensure compliance with quality rules and standards;
- In collaboration with methods and quality, improve the processes on the lines, simplify the steps without altering the final product;
- Take part to and lead problem solving methods in collaboration with the continuous improvement team;
- Lead quality and non-quality with your teams;
- Issue quality alerts in the event of deviations;
- Within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to the development of new products by taking part and leading the production deployment on the lines in partnership with the project manager and the method;
- Take part in the quality analysis linked to Cergy and network returns, as well as in the proposal of an associated action plan.
1. Requirements:
- This Team Leader position is accessible to people with a degree or engineering school diploma, and/or accessible to those who have acquired professional experience in the industrial sector, through practical experience in the field and production team management.

- Keen interest in the world of leather and leather goods;
- Knowledge of major impacts related to your activity and of the main axes of the environmental policy;
- Knowledge or awareness of the basics of the REACH regulations (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals) and safety data sheets.
