Automation Engineer - Groupe Atlantic Romania
The Automation Engineer:
Cooperates with the team to create Automation projects and apply modifications in the machines according to the requirements. Validates the machines and handover to other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in risk analysis process in order to define correct electrical safety solution (Sistema).
- Discuss requirements and processes with project managers and related departments, to make full study for automation system project requirement.
- Automation project planning, scheduling, and budgeting based upon project requirements commissioning and start-up schedule.
- Perform engineering tasks using established procedures; these include but are not limited to.
- Equipment selection, schematic design, system layout, cost estimation and system documentation according to project specifications.
- Creating full integration PLC program and SCADA design, commissioning drives, configuring safety devices, network drawings, installation, and commissioning to execute machine requirements and make complete industrial project.
- Ensure safety of all machines to avoid risks of accident and Commitment with QHS policy, procedures, and work instructions.
- Complete engineering design, testing and commissioning of facility instrumentation and control systems.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of instrumentation, SCADA, control and safety systems.
- System testing and troubleshooting of control programs and validate the machines to startup.
- Provide guidance and training assistance to Technician and assisted maintenance personnel with complex troubleshooting.
- Established best practices and innovative solutions, develop programs and hardware, adding modification in machines to enhance production rates and output quality.
Monitoring and improvement of Key Indicators:
- Safety improvement.
- Continuous improvement.
- Decrease of machine trouble shooting.
- Improvement of the quantity of raw material savings.
- Validation of initials parameters as reference.
- Being able to work as a team player: good communication with different departments (production, maintenance, quality and industrialisation teams) in order to disturb production as least as possible.
- Use of suitable methodology WEGA tools to achieve targets.
Decisions that can be made by the employee (in a pre-defined environment):
- Organisation of trials and meetings with production, quality & maintenance, R&D teams in order to see where the process can be improved.
- Make different changes in machines program or parameters after communication and risks analysis done with other managers.
- Take the necessary decisions in case of problem appearance (quality, breakdowns, etc.) by asking the appropriate actors (and give feedback to General Manager afterwards).
Scope of the position:
- Manage employees (number and level of managed employees / or assigned jobs to this position).

Education:
- Automation Engineering degree or Mecatronic Engineering background from a university.
Relevant experience:
- Minimum 3 years in technical department, maintenance or related industry experience.
Know-how:
- Knowledge of general engineering skills : mechanic, electricity, robot (Fanuc).
- Knowledge of problem resolving methods & analysis methods: Risk analysis, FMEA, 5M, Lean Manufacturin.
- Comfortable with managing statistics.
- Computer knowledge: PLC software (Siemens TIA Portal) , Microsoft office.
- Knowledge of industry and its constraints • Knowledge of project management methods.
Languages:
- English (Fluent level).
